A battle-worn starfighter; 4 guns, 8 missile pods, a pair of thruster engine, an hyperdrive engine and 4 downward hover engine

 

First of I googled out some reference images of a sci-fi starfighter from various sources for some inspiration. Unlike my previous model, I did a rough model in Zbrush using dynamesh to get the idea the overall body may look like. After I confirm the shape, I immedietly apply detail on the whole ship. I go back and forth between Zbrush and 3Ds Max adding details

 

After finalizing the model, I proceed in seperating the guns and ship and export it to 3D coat for retopologize and UV mapping  seperately. After that, I split up the ship even further for baking due to extensive bleeding problem I face before merging the output map together at the end.

 

Finally I proceed to texturing phase in Quixel. I added a lots of scratched and damage for the ship texture to imply immense space debris that the ship in contact with.
